More than £200,000 has been donated by the public to a coronavirus emergency appeal fund to help self-isolating care workers but at least £1 million is desperately needed, says the Care Workers’ Charity.

Over 500 people donned their most glamorous outfits and attended the second annual Care Sector Fundraising ball, raising a huge £200,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society and The Care Workers Charity.
