The Foundation

Investing in the future of care

Hallmark Foundation was registered as an independent charitable foundation in 2020. The charity was founded by Avnish Goyal, Executive Chairman of Hallmark Care Homes. Avnish and Anita Goyal are trustees of the Foundation along with Vidya and Sangita Goyal. Several new trustees are currently being recruited.

The board of trustees appointed Stephen Burke as the charity’s first chief executive in May 2021. Together they have a created a strategic plan setting out the charity’s vision, mission, values and priorities as reflected in this website.

The foundation’s first annual report will be published later this year.

How we're making a change

We invest in the future of care to help everyone age well. We make grants to fund research, innovation, support and promotion of better care and work closely with our grantees to maximise the impact of our funding on ageing well. We also work with other care organisations through partnerships such as Championing Social Care and the Care Workers’ Charity.

Our Values
Caring

We care about the future of care. Improving care underpins everything we stand for. We are driven by human challenges, always striving to improve the lives of those we work alongside.

Transformational

Transforming care is key to improving lives. We are changemakers, solving simple and complex problems through passion and innovation.

Integrity

We do what we say we will do. We honour all our commitments. We are open and honest and lead by example. And we expect those we work with to do the same.

Optimistic

We believe care can be improved and we can help make it happen. We have positive mindsets, confident that we can create a country where everyone can age well.

Togetherness

We work closely with all our partners, grantees and supporters to change the world. By championing our ideas and innovation together, we believe that we can create better care not just today, but for generations to come.
