Steve Cockell
Steve is a Non-Executive Director and Advisor, and acts on treasury, audit & risk, property and finance committees for a variety of commercial and charitable organisations.
His banking industry career included multi-sector experience across the UK. Primarily focused on helping businesses grow and invest through a variety of different roles, more latterly at Executive level. His finance career as a business leader included managerial roles in Group Strategy and Corporate Marketing for NatWest, leadership roles as Sector Head and Regional Managing Director for RBS, and Managing Director in Leveraged Finance working with Private Equity.
Steve has overseen many fundraising projects as both a lender with full accountability, and as a Board member. He has personally dealt with a number of more difficult cases requiring the highest level of understanding, persuasion and execution, with ‘win-win’ outcomes for all parties. In his banking career he chaired Regional Boards, Credit Committees, Capital Committees, Customer Experience Boards, Product Boards, and was a member of numerous banking and management committees.
